We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 45-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we will reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records in our schedule. The records include X-rays, photos and impressions for study models and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan. We feel it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs, because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.
At the initial examination, Dr. Ahl will assess each patient for their specific orthodontic needs, what the treatment will consist of, how long it will take, cost and payment options. Dr. Ahl will also review all aspects of an ideal occlusion. We encourage you to come with any questions you may have.
Please assist us by providing any panoramic X-ray taken within the past six months and bring your dental insurance card to your first visit. Before any orthodontic treatment, your family dentist should make certain that all cavities have been treated as well as the health of your gums and underlying bone are free of periodontal disease.
Please contact our office at (302)678-3000 if you have any questions. The timing of your treatment is very important to us. An orthodontic consultation will allow us to better understand your needs
